Our Mission

Dear Friends,

It is with a sense of exhilaration that Pennsylvania Youth Theatre looks forward to beginning our fourth year in The Banana Factory. This beautiful cultural arts center includes PYT classrooms, dance studios, and rehearsal halls which spring to life daily with the happy sounds of children singing, dancing and acting.

We invite you and your children to join us! Through classes in creative drama, acting, dance and voice, plus numerous performance opportunities, PYT offers the most comprehensive and profession­al performing arts education for youth in the Lehigh Valley.

This education provides three vital experiences, which we recommend to all our students:

• TAKING CLASSES
• PERFORMING ON STAGE
• ATTENDING THE THEATRE

As you review this brochure, please note the way in which we’ve organized our program to ensure your child’s participation in all three areas.

Our program offers:

• Weekly 2-hour workshops, which include acting, dance and voice
• Additional dance and voice classes to provide auxiliary training for the young performer
• Audition notices for performance opportunities in Mainstage, Arena Stage and Studio Stage productions
• A FREE Student Mainstage Subscription ticket which enables those enrolled in our Integrated Program to attend Amazing Grace, Snow Over Bethlehem, The Hobbit, and Alice in Wonderland.

The combination of these activities is at the heart of “THE PYT EXPERIENCE,” and we urge you to consider this as you plan your child’s schedule for this year.
